Hi there,
I am looking at installing Spiceworks but we have roughly 1800 network devices. Is this too much for spiceworks because I notice that it recommends less than 1000.
I am also looking at installing a trial version of KACE 1000 and I wondering would you guys know of any benefit to this over spiceworks if any?
Thanks,
Padraig

It may run a little slower than a install with under 1000 users but it will work and work fine.
There is no limit and some people have 10,000’s of devices

I think the timing of your scans and the machine that hosts SW may be the determining factors.

Could running multiple SpiceWorks remote systems that only scan a portion of the network and report back to the main SpiceWorks system help ease the work load?

Thats an excellent idea for larger networks.

Yeah, branching off sections (or buildings?) depending on your setup would ease the scans’ load. Then all report back to a single “Main” SW setup.
