I added Asparagus. Love me some grilled asparagus.

Pickles, technically a fruit but can be a vegetable.

Why are there three choices for tomatoes?
Also, they are not a vegetable.

New Potatoes, do we mean fresh dug potatoes or Monsanto’s New Leaf potatoes?

Added beets.
They’re just delicious. Pickled, roasted, boiled and sliced, etc.

Pickles are just a subset of Cucumber and does not deserve a separate category. If we do that then french fries should be listed there as well.

According to Cracker Barrel, mac and cheese is a vegetable…do those rules apply here too?

I like most vegetables - thanks to Mom for feeding them to me no matter how much I complained while growing up. Pickled okra is always a top hitter but just in smaller quantities. “Wild” asparagus is excellent as foraging for it is a rewarding experience. Bringing it home and grilling it until it is about half cooked, drizzled lightly with olive oil and sprinkled with salt takes the flavor to a “Wow!” factor. Even raw, the “wild” asparagus tastes great. Corn on the cob is always a favorite. But so are green beans from the garden later in the summer and early fall. Beets, cucumbers, radishes, jalapenos, poblano peppers, turnips, potatoes, and rutabagas. North Georgia Candy Roasters and Hubbards.

I absolutely love most vegetables and have since I was a child. I was the polar opposite of my older brother. My mom thought I was switched at birth. lol

@doitright absolutely the best. Brings back memories as a kid getting bags and bags filled with Asparagus.

Wish I had grown up with a knowledge of the wild asparagus @aaronlarson6 . After I got into my teens, a family friend began showing me more and more edible wild plants. An older gentleman taught me about many of the edible plants in the area. Eventually, I began teach kids about the harvesting in the wild! Passing that knowledge down is important.

@doitright that’s really awesome. Passing down knowledge is a great way to ensure some good things never die.

I added fried okra. Maybe should have just said “Okra” but I love me some fried okra! Also, cucumbers & tomatoes are not technically vegetables.

I suspect fries are responsible for a large portion of the potato vote already.
Had to add Samphire, it’s just the best, especially with fish. It’s just a shame it has a relatively short season.
