Can someone guide me a bit? I’m new to spiceworks and the company i just started for uses it for inventory. But the problem i’m having is that it seems that spiceworks inventory is not accurate. I have deployed 15 new laptops and they are on the domain but inventory only has about 4 of them showing. They have been out for abut 2 weeks…Can someone direct me to some whitepapers or a tutorial regarding inventory?

Can you ping these machines from the machine hosting SpiceWorks?

I would start there, if they are recently deployed then my initial guess is Windows Firewall which inherently blocks pings which is what SpiceWorks uses to discover devices.

Thx, will follow the doc and re-run a full scan and see if the missing PC’s show up. If by chance they don’t any other suggestions?
