We are looking to have several of our cable techs get Net+ certified. Curious to see who the community has used in the past and their experience with them. We are not looking to send our techs to a boot camp as we fill this is over priced and not necessary.

Thanks in advance for your time

^ Good choice.

If fortunate, a local community college may offer an equivalent course. A full CCNA track is over doing it; however, CCNA1-2 (of 4) tend to be good to get a broader feel for networking.

Panduit certification can be a more direct cert to look into. BICSI is the higher standard cabling cert—

If you are willing to pay your could try http://www.stormwind.com/ . I have used them before and they keep information current and nice to learn.
If you they could always read a book and take some practice tests…

Personally when i prepared for the net+ I used http://www.testout.com/ …It had good review material, and practice tests available. I scored well and would say most of the information on there was relevant to the exam.

I haven’t used them, but I’ve heard good things about CBT Nuggets. Though if you’re looking to go on the cheap, I don’t know how well they fit into that exactly.

I have not taken the exam for my Net+ yet but i have been using Pluralsight to watch and study all of the videos and i have also downloaded the PDF study guide from professor messer which has also proved valuable at a reasonable price
