In the last month NetExtender hasn’t been working, we sync the sonicwall with domain control. This the error we are getting.

Can you click on the log to give us a little more information? And what OS are you running this on?

It’s happening for all version of Windows and it’s not happening to all users some users it’s working fine

Sorry, no. I meant on the bottom left of the net extender client there is a little icon that looks like a scroll, click on that and see what that log says about the connection. Additionally, you are using an older version of Netextender, perhaps try updating.

You said you sync the sonic wall with “domain control” - do you mean AD? User log on with their AD credentials? There are several occurrences of wrong username or password in the log - is the user locked out of AD?

We do a LDAP sync with the AD, but the users aren’t lock out because they can login into a terminal server no problem.

What SonicWall Device are you using?

Sonicwall NSA 250 M wireless

I’m really not sure - but with the age of the device I’m not sure what to start troubleshooting. I found a few hints here: Sonicwall SSL VPN: Unable to reconnect once connection drops - Server Fault maybe have a look, but doesn’t sound like what you are looking at specifically. If it was just Windows 10 machines I would say updating the client would be a sure thing but since it is happening all over the place I’m just not sure.

I have run into this on occasion. It usually happens after some changed their passwords recently, or perhaps they were moved to different groups or OUs in Active Directory. Go into the LDAP config in the SonicWALL and just hit auto-configure again to refresh the settings. That might do it.

Also if you are syncing and adding them as local users, delete the affected users from the Sonicwall Users and let them add the next time they login.

Have you had any success resolving this?
