Trying to run the report Network Bandwidth Usage but am not getting any results. I also tried to create this report and am not getting information. Am I missing a step?

Thanks

do you have snmp setup on your switches?

to get good results you will need to have some managed switches that when scanned should should each device connected to the correct port of each switch…

Then you will get approx report data being collected…

I think that is correct…

SNMP must be setup first though…

+1 - if Spiceworks can’t collect info from your switches it won’t be able to produce a report. Add the bandwidth monitor to your Dashboard page and access your routers/switches to confirm they are pulling data.

Yes, SMNP is setup

what devices do you have setup for snmp

what brand, model?

are they accurately pulling information in the inventory?

you should be able to see port / vlan tab and see some mapping information in there. Also in the map section you should be able to see traffic graphing for it…

Another area is the bandwidth plugin in 5.0-5.1 that lets you watch bandwidth on devices directly in the dashboard… (just a graph but will see if snmp is working)
