Not getting the dashboard in network monitor.

I get this:

Capture1.JPG

And when I refresh I get this screen:

Capture2.JPG

With nothing in it. If I click Devices I can see that it really is monitoring or appears to be. Don’t know if it’s sending emails. Yet.

Tried rebooting the server, no help.

Hi,

What version of the Network Monitor do you have installed?

1 Spice up

The one before the beta - how do I tell?

It should be at the bottom right hand corner of the settings page. It sounds like you are on an older version. We released a new version yesterday which address issues like what you are seeing. Can you install it and see if you see an improvement?

1.3.00133

I can get it back if I click the Dashboard ‘link’ several times.

Can you upgrade to our latest version and let me know if you continue seeing this problem?

The latest version? What number would that be Jaime?

I’ve seen this before but usually a restart of the service or a reboot of the machine would fix it. And of course I REALLY needed it today. Isn’t that how it works?

I’m having almost the exact same problem. For clarity I posted all the details:

I Had 1.3 running pretty well. Got the message to update to 1.4.00259, so I figured what the heck and downloaded it.

I’m getting tired of having to repopulate all of my equipment info every time there is a version change, so I decided to do an over-install without removing 1.3 first to see if it would keep all of my equipment.

No dice. After the install, all I get is the typical page cannot be displayed message. I’m using HTTP internally. So, I restarted the service a couple of times, no good. Rebooted the server, no good.

So I did a complete uninstall and reinstalled with 1.4. All I get the starting up screen. Restarted the services again. Tried to open the desktop link, and it did the configuring screen, and err’d out with a message “Fatal error during installation.”

Any suggestions?

I cant tell you how many times this happened to me! Actually happened with the Spiceworks Help Desk at my last job. Here is the last update, as you can see from the notes, a fix for this issue was included:

1.4.00259

Fixes

Users upgrading from a prior version noticed that either their dashboard was blank or that the loader would freeze around 90%. This hotfix handles both of those issues.

I guess you didn’t see in my post that I’m already installing 1.4.00259 and still having the issue.

Any other ideas?

Thanks Jaime I appreciate the help.

Yes Dan, I wasn’t trying to hijack your thread. I was trying not to duplicate the issue at the parent with the exact same problem.

I will repost as a new thread now that they have diverged. Thanks.

Please feel free to mark all the best answers and kudos you want now.

Jaime that fixed it! Kudos sir!
