New Community - Self-Hosted Spiceworks Ticketing Server

Greetings,
I host my own Spiceworks help desk ticketing server.
It was (past tense) very responsive.
As of Tuesday (I was out Monday 3/4) after the new Spiceworks Community was up, it is SLOW.
I log onto the server as always, and 30 seconds later I get a proxy error:

The server otherwise works.

Obvious to me, something changed at the community end as this coincides with its standup.

Hmm. I’m able to get into both of my instances of [legacy] Spiceworks Desktop; although logging in took abnormally long (+2 mins in both cases). I did get the proxy troubleshooter error in one of the instances, but after clicking ok, it seems like all the other functionality is there.

If you mean Spiceworks 7.5 it’s been EOL for a number of years. While your admin and tech accounts are bound to the community, the links they will use are dead and it has been reported that issues would occur. You can disconnect it form the internet and you may get better results, this does however give you other issues if you used it externally.

Disconnecting from the internet is the same effect as trying to connect to a bad link.

As far as I know, no.

That product is end of life and end of support, and we don’t expect any updates. If someone in the community has a way around the problem, awesome, but I don’t know of any.

How is the internet being disconnected?

You say it’s slow, but it still works, if this is true I’d consider that a win, as it has been mentioned several times already, the product is not in support and any use you can get from it is best efforts.

I’m surprised emails still flow.
