I’m having a couple of issues with our Spiceworks install. The first issue is with the Spiceworks Desktop shortcut on the server. It doesn’t appear to do anything when I run it. Should it open some sort of interface for the program. I’m not seeing anything in the systray or a service for Spiceworks, but it is accessible through the browser by going to http://hostname/
The second issue is with the community sections in the website. Our network provider requires that we access the internet through a proxy with autentication. I’ve tried using our proxy with a couple different userids. The proxy test runs, but the community sections still will not work. We can access the communities through the proxy directly by going to community.spiceworks.com.
