i’m new to spiceworks and i need some help, i have 8 computers and i would like to have all them be seen on the my spiceworks network, the only thing is there are all at different locations, i have tried to connect them and just have not had any success<\/p>\n

The remote collector isn’t the only way to go- if it’s just 1 computer at each site, and not an entire network at each site that you are trying to monitor/support, then you can also just install the agent.<\/p>\n
While the agent isn’t required in order to monitor machines that are local to a collector (whether it’s the main install, or a remote collector), it does make life a lot easier for remote sites/laptops where you don’t have more than one system you want to monitor.<\/p>\n
