I have Dell desktop computers that SpiceWorks is not detecting in its scans. I have about 25 total dells, of the same make and setup, on my network and its only shwoing me 5 of them. Spiceworks needs more than just ping to completely access and scan your remote Windows devices. I would recommend running this command on your remote devices, or enabling it via GP:<\/p>\n

Adjusted windows firewall to allow echo, vrfy ping was working, did scan and still didnt show. Went back and disabled windows firewall all together and did another scan and still not showing in inventory. If so then you might not have change the SIDS on each machine. You could try installing “newsid” from microsoft, then run it on one of the systems and try to rescan & see if it picks it up.
