So here I am sitting at work, with a cold. I would like to be at home still asleep but I am in the middle of a project and I still have finish is up tomorrow.
So to commiserate with me how often do you find yourself needing to work while ill just to finish something up.

What makes it so bad for me is that I can’t seem to concentrate for any extended period of time and find myself doing the same thing several times.

I will one up you on this. I worked a month straight with a daily migraine, that included light and sound sensitivity. I had an MRI to rule out everything and no one could figure out what was triggering them. They eventually went away but man, did that suck!

I started feeling really bad Saturday morning.
My throat felt like it was on fire for a while, then the usual aches and pains plus chills, sneezing a lot and coughing. Up until Tuesday I was miserable.
I’m over it except for a cough once in a while.
The bugs are getting tougher or I’m getting weaker.

Never. My health comes first.
Disclaimer: I’m not important.
My last job was at a school district that gave you a sick day a month (it rolled over for up to 1 year of sick time) and for the first 6 months I definitely had to use it.
My current job gives just a PTO bank and thanks to a lot of doctor’s appointments to determine I need sinus surgery, I have to work through any days that I’m actually sick-sick. I close the door to my office and kill half the lights when that happens. I answer the important calls for the day but otherwise no extra projects get done.

I rarely get sick so it’s rarely an issue
