I have a wildcard ceritficate.

I have created the ssl using the keytool as described in

And I confirmed that it works in Tomcat

Can I use this certificate in OpenFire?

When I looked in the Openfire docs for ssl is not the same procedure, so I am not sure what I should do from here

Any reason why you’d want to use that in OpenFire? It is not presenting a web site so there isn’t a need for that kind of cert. There is no browser to display any warnings.

well, I was actually just thinking about that last night.

With version 3.7.2 FastPath should be fixed, and Tomcat won’t be needed for the webchat.

We need the Cert because FastPath makes out web site displace certification errors when the customers are inside the SSL portion of our website (the shopping cart for example)

I guess I am trying to be thorough since I have a wildcard certificate it doesn’t cost extra
