I have been tasked with researching MDM solutions to replace our current product (Good). We are unhappy with Good, and are looking to transition elsewhere. I have looked into what other spiceheads were saying in this thread, but the information contained within is a tad old at this point (most of it is from 2011).

I have investigated a few and so far, the ones that look to be the best for our use is Mobileiron, MaaS360, or Sophos. From the thread mentioned earlier, most people hold a high opinion of MaaS360, Mobileiron is regarded as good but expensive, and Sophos is sort of an unknown (I include them because we have and use there AV products and enjoy them). What do other folks think of these products? I am managing almost 100% iOS devices, but there’s at least 1 android device I will need to manage as well, so I need to be able to enforce policies on iOS and android. This is also for a relatively small number of users, at most 30.

that is just a few minutes on searching. Also pricing you have to go to the vendor for quotes. You cannot rely on SW for pricing since everyone company has different needs

I manage 230 iPhones and iPads, and my opinion in short - Try Meraki. Its free. It works.

It also supports Android devices.

Just a heads up, I’d also consider AirWatch for your MDM needs. I now that you have a bunch of other threads to look at, but I thought I’d throw the AirWatch product out there since you’re still looking around. This will cover both your Android and iOS devices. Definitely let me know if you have any other product needs that you want to share, and I can point you in the right direction.

No research is complete without investigating the daddy of MDM, which is BES10. Best of all, they let you carry over your Good licenses for free for a limited period of time. You can chose between on-premise or cloud solution.
