You said Remote Collectors had been fixed by patch 42. It’s back again. Remote collectors worked fine on version 6.2. We upgraded to version 7.1 last month and the collectors broke. We held our breath hoping they would get fixed in 7.2 and now we’ve upgraded to 7.2.00174 and they’re still broken. Since upgrading to version 7 last month, the remote collectors have NEVER worked correctly. Just like in that thread above, they collect and report ONCE, then never collect information again. Our remote collectors are all installed on stand-alone machines in a workgroup environment and report back to the central installation which is a server in a domain. Even the machines that have the collectors installed on them don’t get information updated in the central server.

Interestingly enough, I can remote into a collector machine and go directly to the inventory page <host;port/inventory> and SEE the machines are actually collecting current information. It’s in the UPDATES sent to the server where it’s all lost again.

HI

that 7.2 issue description is the same thing that broke in 7.1.

There’s a 7.1.00190 but given the release notes arent being published anymore its difficult to know is this has been fixed in that release - but worth a try.

Edit -

off the top of the 7.2 download page…no indication of this being fixed. I’d drop a line to support@spiceworks as well as they may want logs to confirm it’s the same issue.
