I’ve tested teamviewer and logmein rescue. Neither seem to have the feature I’m looking for. Both seem to require the remote user to run an exe every time they need help.

I want to permanently install the client on the users computer so that I can just click connect and it then prompts them to allow me to access their screen and take remote control. I’ve noticed I can set this up with DameWare but DameWare only seems good when clients are on our internal network. I need to support both local and remote users.

Any suggestions?

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

There are definitely numerous features (especially with Logmein Pro) that allow you to tweak, enhance or hide settings so your users can’t mess with it too much. UltraVNC also has some capabilities here, but it is all managed at the desktop, whereas Logmein is managed at the web console.

I know you can alert on connection - in addition, I know you can hide the icon so they can’t adjust or view settings. I believe there is also the capability of enabling a password to limit access the settings entirely if you do want to keep the icon in the Systray.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer
