New to Spiceworks, love the product!
Having some issues with setting up a remote collector to communicate with my central server. I have 2 remote collectors; 1 works, 1 doesn’t.
On all ends (collector and central) I have both http and https ports open, and they are the same ports on both ends. I can also get to each site via http/https from browser. On the collector that is not working, it establishes a connection and displays the verification code, but when I go to the central server its not listed and therefore unable to authorize it. It was once connected, and I accidently dis-connected it. since then, no luck.
What I’ve done:
Re-installed spiceworks on collector
re-started both machines
any ideas?

Just to add… All installs are on the most recent version, and I also tried naming the remote site to something different than its original name… no luck.

Ok. It seems this may have been caused by a bung firewall rule that i missed. Although i could get to all ports, i believe the firewall on the collector end was getting confused. Thanx anyway guys… out!
