I set up spiceworks on a user that did not have admin rights. I have since added the correct user and all devices did populate, but I still have the bad account listed and everyday many of the devices revert back to this account and show up and errored. How can I remove this bad account from spiceworks so it will only use the correct account??

1 Spice up

You can go into Settings->Network Scan and double click on the account. You can then add the new one.

I have already added the needed account. I would like to remove an invalid account that the system seems to revert back to every day. This is causing some pain as I have to go back in and change the account for each account every day. Plus it is sending me LOTS of alerts as when the device trys to use the bad account I get an Alert. Again, I would like to remove an account not add one. Thanks,

When you double click on the login name in Settings > Network Scan, you should get a drop down that has Delete as an option. Select Delete and you will see a dialog asking which account to delete. Choose it from the drop-down and click the Delete button.

I double click it, then choose delete. This opens some properties at the bottom to delete an account but only gives me the option to delete the second account I made, which is the good account. Everyday that I come in all my devices have allerts because they have linked back to the original account and I have to scan all of them again. I need to remove the original account, which is my domain account. If a add a third account, that account shows up in the delete options as well, but still will not display the original bad account.
