Salt Lick trip has been a tradition for a few years prior to COVID. But it does not look like it’s happening.

So we Spiceheads are going to take matters into our own hands.
Any one who is coming in with a vehicle @gregstarnes ​ @alexz ​ @bhefty ​ @dengelhardt ​ @daniel-berry-spiceworks @selorex any any one else who is wanting to come and bring along their car/truck/van and provide a ride for a buddy Spicehead out to Salt Lick.
As we do not have a vendor sponsor for this event It is BYOB and you would have to pay for your own BBQ.
Just making a call out for drivers.
Depending on the response will set up the logistics and make it happen.

This is Planed for Wednesday Lunch time.

I get into Austin before lunch on Tuesday, I’m definitely interested in some BBQ, but I won’t have a car so I’ll be one of those bumming a ride. :slight_smile:

Love Salt Lick - I just got Mgmt approval and SW Pass, logistics are still fuzzy. I’m 3.5hrs north in FT Worth, was planning on driving down Wednesday afternoon, but this is a worthwhile parameter for change. Checking with my co-pilot and the Office manager, I have the vacation days…

Have Honda Ridgeline quad cab truck - room for at least 2 in back seat - 3 if you don’t mind being friendly.

Wednesday September 28 Front of Austin Convention Center

10:45 Meet up at the front of the Convention Center

11:15-11-30 Depart for Salt lick

2:30 Depart Salt Lick for Convention Center.

Bring your own booze.

This restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. It’s at least 30 minute drive from the convention center. Our goal is to leave early enough to be able to spend enough time there and be able to come back to the convention center in time the opening Shindig.

Drivers… pretty obvious what you do… you can also fill your vehicle how you want.

Riders. If you need a spot and you don’t have one come out to the Convention center. Will try to bring as many people with us as possible. Please don’t be upset if you don’t get to go.

P.S. If you’re a vendor and would like to sponsor some transportation and some food and some booze for this event, then VAMONOS!!!
