Hey Spiceheads.
I am having trouble with a “Scan to Folder” on only one server.
I have other ‘Scan to Folder’ folders on another server and that works fine.
But for some reason I’m am not able to scan to this particular server.
The folder that works is setup the same way as the one that fails as far as shared\permissions\security. Everyone has access to it.
What am I missing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also please ask for any thing else I might have left out.
Thank You,
Wahlah

I had a problem similar to this… is the folder that is working on an older server, but the one that wont work is on a new server (like windows server 2012)?

Like photons said, make sure the user account you are using in the SMB field has rights to all the folders you need to scan to.

No firewall.
The user has rights to the server since it is in the everyone Group. I just added the user the the ‘sharing permissions’ and ‘security’ just to see if that helps. I also disabled the anti-virus. Still not working.
I double checked the settings still looks ok. The odd thing is that it will scan to folder on another server.

Both servers are Win 2003.
The problem i ran in to dealt with the difference between the file sharing protocols that the servers used (ie. SMB 1.0 & SMB 2.0). On my printers there was a firmware update that our printer repairman was able to locate and install.
Check that the system time on the copier is close as possible to the time on the server. Kerberos is fussy that way.
