I have 5 computers on our network that are not communicating with SpiceWorks. When I scan them, I get the following errors back; “No open ports for this device were found to be responding.” and “Windows WMI port not open, firewall problem?”. I have searched both on the SpiceWorks help and online and I have tried the troubleshooting steps suggested and nothing is fixing the problem. Most of the machines are Windows XP, one is Windows 7 that I am having these problems with. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is uninstalling our Anti-Virus software, which I might give this a try today, but I find it strange that it would be that, all our computers have the same Anti-Virus software and all the same policies so I don’t know what would be causing some to scan and some not.<\/p>\n
