I’m having some trouble this morning with a task that I was asked to do. At this job site they had asked me to setup our Savin C3535 MP to scan the documents. We can’t use our e-mail server to send the documents since the network has no vpn or any way of connecting to our domain. So I need to setup a shared folder on someones computer and tell the scanner to send it to that address with the folder. So if someone can help me out with going about that it would be nice. This is the first time I’ve had to do something like this since everything is networked and its very rare for someone to want this.

Thanks,

Guys

It sounds like this is a Ricoh product. Ricoh has a nice tool for setting up this stuff remotely called SmartDeviceMonitor . Install it on a computer. Find the device you want to manage. Right click on the the Device and choose Admin Management Tool. It will ask you for credentials. The login will most likely be Admin. And the password is blank by default unless you changed it to something else. The nice thing about this tool is that you can save setup so as long as you stick with Ricoh copiers, you can download the settings to the new device. I hope this helps.

Also, Ricoh has manuals for all of the printers available online, and they should include steps on how to do this directly on the copier.

The steps in the manual are always confusing. Thanks for the suggestions i’ll try that link out right now.

You can setup scan to shared folder via the web interface of that Ricoh printer if it’s a network printer. Just login as admin and go to Configuration settings: Device settings should be able to setup the share and location.
