Hi All,

I know this has been asked multiple times but I just can’t for the life of me get Spiceworks to scan my windows 7 domain workstations. It scans the servers fine.

I’ve tried removing all virus protection. Disabling all firewalls and various other things that i’ve read in the discussions.

The machines are all members of domains and i’m using the domain administrator credentials.

Is there something stupid I’m doing?

I also have the latest version of spiceworks installed 7.4.00065

Are you sure WMI is working? Have you disabled UAC on these devices?

Hi Jackie,

WMI seems to be working fine as far as I can tell. I tried disabling UAC and that didn’t help.

The spiceworks machine is joined to a different domain than the workstations (remote site) but I’m guessing this should be possible anyway.

Any ideas?

You would want to enter the domain\username and the password combination on the remote site and that should handle this, I believe.

Thanks for the help Jackie. I think it was a combination of entering the password and a firewall issue.
