Hey everyone. I work for a charter school turn-around company called Matchbook Learning. We currently manage one school in Newark, NJ and two schools in Michigan; one in Detroit and one in Redford. We are seeking an IT Manager for the Detroit campus, which is the elementary school for Michigan Technical Academy. We would like a candidate that has a basic foundation in IT and has some experience supporting users with PC, Mac, Chromebook, and iOS. I would consider this an entry level position (starting at Tier 1 but growing in the role) as much of the training and how our operations work is unique and learned on the job. This would be a great position for someone looking to start their IT career fresh out of college or great for someone who might need a job while taking a year off of college.
You would work at the elementary school, but would be an employee of Matchbook Learning. This would be a full-time salaried position ($35k-$55k/year depending on experience). Great benefits too (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc… I speak from experience).
If you have any questions feel free to reach out. We really need to fill this position quickly and I haven’t had any applicants that pique my interest yet. Please refer anyone you feel is qualified for the position. It never hurts to apply.

Just my opinion based on what I’ve seen in the job market, in case it helps in your search. You might want to reconsider the title for the position. An IT Manager position normally implies a great deal of experience, managing employees, and a salary much higher. Help desk tech, IT support rep, sys admin 1, etc. might work better to attract someone just starting out, learning on the job, and doing these kinds of tasks.
