Hello good afternoon. I just installed spiceworks on a windows server 2016 server, but when configuring the remote site I get the error Server is not responding, I have enabled the corresponding ports, I have disabled the firewals, however I cannot connect. I have searched for information in the community, but I have not been able to find the solution. Your support please.

10 Spice ups

How is the remote site accessing the main SW installation, VPN, port forwarded over the interwebz?

Thanks for answering. When configuring the remote site (from the web interface), I enter the IP of my server and port 80, but it does not connect to my SW spiceworks desktop. Enter normally through the path http: // myserver: 80. I have tried a clean installation with another account, but the problem persists.

I guess I am missing what you are trying to do. Are you trying to access your local SW installation from the internet? Your explanation isn’t very clear.

Sorry, I don’t think I understand. What I am trying to do is configure the remote site to be able to do one of the Spiceworks inventory. Attached image.

I’m sorry, I’m not explaining myself well. What I am trying to do is configure spiceworks as a remote site so that we can receive information from my “agents” (computers that have the spiceworks agent installed). To configure this, I am going to the configuration option> inventory> remote sites and agents> remote site mode> enable remote site mode. I don’t know if I let myself understand, I’m new to spiceworks.

some help please

You don’t need to set up another server to get responses from agents. You need to NAT some ports on your firewall to your local install at the home office.

You’re right!! just enable the authorization code and then install the agents on the other computers, after that the main server started scanning. Thank you!!
