Hi Team,

Just need a few assistance here on setting up my remote site connection.

So I’m using PORT 8080 for my central server setup. When I try to enable the feature i’m constantly getting “server not responding” message. Is there something I’m missing to do on my end?

I’ve read up about it; however, nothing seems substantial enough thus far so I decided to reach out to you all. Thanks in advance for any assistance/advice.

Spiceworks uses pings for heartbeats. What do your Connection Settings say under Inventory-Remote Sites & Agents-Connection Settings. Is your remote Spiceworks server pingable over the WAN or VPN LAN?

Hi Jason

Are you referring to the below sub-section?

Also remote server pingable via VPN LAN. The issue here is that my localhost (central server) isn’t allowing me to setup the remote site configuration. I get a message message " server is not responding".

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue as well; however, to start my Central Site in order to connect remotely does not work. My central server shows up as " Server not responding".

I ensured all traffic rule is setup properly for external traffic and still nothing isn’t working at all.
