Hi Team,

I am wondering if anyone can recommend a simple application that we can use to keep track of our IT equipment and related users; Let me explain:

We need to have one simple system that can tell us exactly for each staff member which PC/Laptop they are using , smart phone, Internet connection type (If they working at home) etc.

I started all of this on an excel spreadsheet and i am ready to populate the database.

If there’s no system that you guys recommend , then i should spend a weekend developing one.

Have you tried Spiceworks? Any devices it doesn’t find by itself can be manually added in - and you can assign them to people, then report on it.

Yea, certainly give Spiceworks a try! Opinions on asset tracking might be a little bias on the Spiceworks community, but it is a good product, and is way better than building a custom application from scratch or using spreadsheets.
