Hello,

Spiceworks SNMP keeps trying to access a device. I have gone through spiceworks and excluded the device from network scanning, mark the device as manage manually but still see spiceworks snmp scanning the device. How can I find what in spiceworks is causing these snmp scans? Do I need to enable log all received snmp information?

Thank You

Hey AUser@540,

If you’ve excluded the device and marked it as manually managed, Spiceworks shouldn’t be hitting the device any more. Have you verified the traffic is coming from the Spiceworks server? Also, do you have the Network Monitor installed?

My event log of the device showed me that the spiceworks server was sending the snmp request. Awhile back a vendor installed a third party program on the spiceworks server which wasn’t setup correctly. Once that was fixed, the snmp issues went away
