Good afternoon,

I’m using Spiceworks to do a software audit at my company. I have found it extremelly powerful so far, but wanted to query it’s functionality before I potentially waste a large amount of time.

Essentially, I want to end up with a Spreadsheet which has all software titles along on the top, all PC/Device titles down the left hand side and then a tick or mark of some description in the appropriate cells so it is easy to refer to when we want to prove which software is being used where.

Is there a way to make Spiceworks produce this sort of output for me?

I’ve already been through and obtained the PC names and License keys for the most critical pieces of software (Microsoft, Adobe and Sophos softwares) but it would be great to have a simple to use overview too.

Any help, hints or suggestions are most welcome.

Kind regards,

Craig McLellan.

Hello Craig,

did you try the license manager plugin ?

It is very useful for the Software audit, you are looking for.

Have you tried running a report?

If you go into inventory → reports you can choose from the generic list of reports that spiceworks has generated or create one yourself.

So, if you create a new report you can choose what to include in the report and also the format of export (.pdf, csv or xls). This would suit your needs best.

Hope this helps

Good morning, I apologise for the slow response from myself.

Thank you for your assistance - i have managed to use those tools to make things much easier for me.

Hurrah for spiceworks.
