Dear support,
I noticed that spiceworks scans are increment only.
Nowadays, reports generated by spiceworks show a lot of software that is not installed anymore on our PCs. Even after reboot and rescan, unistalled software is still present in SW and showed by reports.

Thank you for your reply,
AG

3 Spice ups

We had a bug in our caching for a while and it would be possible to have some residual issues here from our last upgrade. If this is a problem on just a few devices, go to each of the devices and click the re-scan button (right side of the middle button bar). The re-scan operation now sends a copy of all data gathered even if it was cached before.

If you need to run this on many machines, there is a way to do this from a command line script. Let me know if you want instructions on how to do that…

We’d really appreciate if you can provide us the command line script: we have more than 200 devices to check :stuck_out_tongue:

Check this post out. I believe the script is located there.

Thank you very much,
I’ll give it a shot

Thanks DinkLock - I was looking for that post and couldn’t locate it!

I’ll admit it took me forever to find. I ended up searching for “spiceworksfinder.exe command”. Be nice if I could search w/ other operators

I agree and have already talked to our search developer about this…

What are your thoughts on putting up a Project for this? Not sure if it’s extensive enough to warrant that kind of attention . . . just a thought.
