Be sure and hit up the Man, Brad for a presentation. They are always insightful, and he is a wealth of knowledge.

I’d love to but no travel budget :frowning: I miss Spiceworld but it doesn’t line up enough with my current role to be able to expense the trip :frowning:

Come on folks, the clock is ticking.
I too am disappointed to hear that @brad will not be able to participate, but we have many here that are just as qualified with a plethora of information to share.

I did a IT Soft Skills session in ?2017? “Getting your name off your shirt” - going from IT Mechanic to IT Director.

I’ve had a few more years in the directors chair, some good (and bad) projects, and some additional University education since then and I am sure I could bring it back if there is a need/interest for those type sessions. And bonus, I wouldn’t have to start from scratch.

I’d definitely be interested if you did an IT Manager to IT Director session.

One of the most popular kinds of posts in the community are the ones having to do with furthering our careers… I think those types of things will be super popular.

I encourage everyone who has something to share to send in your ideas… great thing to put on a resume, for one, but also just a great way to share knowledge, which is part of what the community is about… helping each other. And easier to convince your boss to let you go if you are invited to speak, right?

I just submitted “IT Director of One. How an Enterprise Mindset Can Put Your Small Business Ahead of the Pack.” The idea being how you can propel yourself further up the ladder by thinking about and acting on those ideas that make a director a director. Perhaps we could work together on this?

Side note, our submission is not the “final final final final version 8 actual final” is it? I’m sure the wording and such could be improved!

I totally agree. The wealth of wisdom and intelligence is second to known in this community. The challenge is being willing to speak, be good at speaking and engaging the listeners. I have heard some amazingly knowledgeable folks speak on subjects they are very knowledgeable about, but it is mostly dry information. I remember Jeffrey Snover presenting on PowerShell and it was incredibly engaging, and his passion is impressive. That being said, I know there are a ton of qualified individuals on here that can also deliver a nice engaging presentation.

Although I have not been a featured speaker at SpiceWorld, I have been on many SW panels throughout the years.
If anyone is looking for panel participants, I am happy to help.

Recent Update! The team is extending the submission deadline to May 26th, Friday (11:59 PM CST)!

Whom can we reach out to for information about if a session was selected. We were having email issues yesterday and it may not have come through.

Try spiceworld@spiceworks.com… they were behind on replies for a while, but I think they are caught up now.

@suzanne-spiceworks so no email by now means not selected?

I mean, I am still coming for 2023 but I may need to know soon if I am a session/speaker leader and have ticket paid for…

I mean if anything, @jaredbusch should be there…I mean “the hat” at the very least.
