SpiceWorld 2024 will bring IT pros and vendors together for two jam-packed days of tech learning and fun, live and in person, at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin, TX, from Nov 13-14!

SpiceWorld provides IT attendees with tools, connections, and knowledge to help them level up their IT game — and that’s where you can help! Whether you’re an IT pro or tech expert wanting to share successful IT strategies or spread the word about cutting-edge tech, we invite you to submit a session for a chance to speak at SpiceWorld!

Important Dates

  • Call for Speakers Closes: Friday, July 19, 2024 (11:59 PM CST)
  • Notifications to Selected Speakers Starts: July

How it works: Once the Call for Speakers closes, the Spiceworks Community will vote for the sessions they’d like to see at SpiceWorld. Finalists will then be reviewed by Spiceworks staff, taking into consideration relevant topics, session ratings for past presenters, and feedback from our own technical and IT staff. The selected sessions will be announced in late July.

Session Categories

Based on feedback about topics of interest from SpiceWorld attendees, we request that submitted sessions fall into one of the following categories:

  1. AI & Emerging Tech
  2. Cloud & Infrastructure
  3. Security
  4. Software & Tools
  5. IT Careers & Leadership

Presentation Format

Sessions are approximately an hour long: 45 minutes of presentation, 10 minutes of Q&A, and 5 minutes of “squish” room. Most sessions will have 1 or 2 speakers presenting.

Tips for Success

  • IT pros at SpiceWorld are eager to absorb practical knowledge to boost their tech-savvy and help them become IT superheroes within their organizations.
  • Make sure your presentation adds value. Include the key learnings attendees will take away from your session.
  • Keep it vendor-neutral. While discussing specific products is fine, Spiceworks will disqualify any product or vendor pitch.
  • Get specific. Clearly define the concepts and ideas in your submission, explain the problem and the solution(s) you’re offering, and any important details.

  • Your photo & bio on the SpiceWorld website and mobile app
  • A speaker gift
  • And last but not least… bragging rights!

Yep, JBL Go 3 Bluetooth speaker. It’s a nice little piece of kit. I’ve been using it a lot while setting up computer labs.

Just took the first time plunge! I want to moderate a panel discussion but am waiting to create the panel until I know if the session is approved or not. I hope that is acceptable. :slight_smile:

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a way to manually give out pepper points on the new site, so the answer on that is no, for now.

Happy to give you some retroactively when/if we ever get the ability back though. :slight_smile:
