So I’m on vacation in a hotel, bored for the moment, and on SpiceWorks… that’s not a bad thing right?
Note I’m also amused that every time I start typing SpiceWorks my ever helpful autocorrect wants to change it it spicerex. Why autocorrect do you know SpiceRex but not SpiceWorks?
But time to return to my not regularly scheduled vacation.

Enjoy the vacation. I have tomorrow and the following day off, and come back to work on Friday. This is a notoriously slow time at work, and so I am debating taking Friday off as well and having a small 5 day break.

I’m torn… it’s such a slow time at work it’s almost a shame to use a vacation day, on the flip-side, the weather could be shaping up for some skidooing!

It depends. What kind of a place are you in and how is the weather? If you’re visiting friends/family for the holidays, then this is acceptable. If you went somewhere for skiing/snowboarding, but the conditions aren’t very good, this is acceptable. If you’re at a beach/lake, you should be staring at a body of water with a beverage in your hand.

Yeah, my current job doesn’t use SW so I’m always here on my own time. Well… some of it might be their time… OK, so I waste my day here instead of working…

Nothing wrong with getting a little spice hit while on vacation. I would be more concerned if you were checking your work email.

i’m sad. i downloaded the app for my Android phone. I get notifications from SW and check to them. All the time.

I’m flying solo in one of the several hundred cities that claim to be “the city that never sleeps” an while there is some truth to it… It is rather dead between 0900 and 1600 at least once you have tried shopping, etc.

So sounds like I’m all good… or at least not alone in my… need for spice.
