My dad got a rather phishy email the other day. Something looked familiar about it.

They’re clearly using the cloud helpdesk, so i wanted to make sure this issue got to the right people so this can be shut down. Sarah Crook (Spiceworks) can you ensure it does for me?

Anyone else seen these?

I am sure it is probably completely legit and you should also provide them with a DNA sample, your bank cards and pin numbers and your first born child. You can consider your first born as your DNA sample if that is agreeable to you, those without children will need to find other methods to provide DNA. Please do not send fecal matter as this is not appropriate DNA material.

At least your father came to you about it! While I hate being “the IT guy” (outside of work) most of the time, I NECER pass up on helping people develop skills in detecting phishing emails.

Looks perfectly fine to me…

I disagree.

I have not seen it yet but it looks like the email I would get from Cloud Helpdesk but it might be spoofed.

Sorry, I’ve been out sick for like a week! Sent this Sean (Spiceworks)'s way, since he’s dealt with some recent spoofing stuff.

@sean-spiceworks

Whoa, I missed this topic somehow. Ross42., can you send me the email as an attachment (so I can look at the properties)? sean@ is my email addy.
