Spiceworks Bulk Inventory Import Not Working

Hi,

We have been using the bulk_import script since version 5 which has worked fine … until now.

I have been doing some diagnostics and I have noticed that when we do an import of devices only the first one from each type gets imported.

First I thought this might have been that we were trying to add a field that didn’t exist or something but not I stripped it right back so its was just importing
Name,Serial Number

And I’ve found the problem that the name has to be unique now which I find strange as many things can have the same name and the unique identifier being the serial.

Has something changed in upgrade that has made the name field required to be unique?

We are running version 7.3.00048

I know for a fact it worked in 7.2 it seemed to have broke around the time we upgraded.

Can you upgrade to our current version and give it another try? If this is a bug, we need to get you on our current version first before we continue.
