Hello all -

I seem to be having an issue keeping spiceworks updated with info. This can be bandwidth, software (configuration info) and dont know why that is. I have the my network scans set to every 2 hours, with incremental scans every 4 hours. I would have this process to have updated my servers or workstations with this info - but it doesn’t seem to be true. I’ve ‘manually’ started a scan to collect the info - but still don’t have any updated info.

any thoughts?

2 Spice ups

I don’t have an answer, but rather am noticing the same thing today. Machines I added to the network, updated or changed the names of, after scanning, are not reflecting the changes.

it’s truly strange. i’m sure it’s something i’m doing … not. i also have noticed that i have 2 switches…? I know i have a switch with multiple networks on it (vlans, etc) like everyone else - but i see the device twice - once with each ip address. i think if i remove one of them, it’ll rediscover it again (unless i mark remove that ip from the specific scope) and it’ll be back…

I was able to get an update on a machine by doing a specific scan of its IP address. I have 150 or so computers on the LAN though, and don’t have time to individually scan each IP. I wonder why my network scans are not refreshing any data? Perhaps I will delete all my data and try a fresh scan, I am sure there is some discussion on here about that somewhere…

Do you mean you have the network health check running every two hours and the full scan running every four?

Have you already tried following the first three steps of the inventory inconsistencies How-To?
