I am having an issue with spiceworks inventory after bulk deleting several hundred devices. It seems as if spice works will no longer inventory new devices or changes to existing devices.<\/p>\n
To test I manually deleted a successfully inventoried PC (did not select never re-scan) and then manually scanned it. The scan connected successfully but the device was never added to inventory. It is not showing up as a device with scan errors either. I also tested a PC with scan errors and successfully got the scan to return “yep it’s working, were scanning this device” but it was never inventoried and remains in scan errors.<\/p>\n
I also uninstalled an application from a successfully inventoried pc and ran a manual re scan. What version of Spiceworks? Try updating to latest if you haven’t already - 7.5.00063 at time of writing. Updated and started on a new DB. Something went wrong with the old one and we decided a fresh start was needed.
