Spiceworks Network monitor

Hi all,

I’m just exploring the network monitor and wondering if it’s possible to install the network monitor off the network and then monitor several firewalls and servers which are on different networks? If so, how is this done? Can i only monitor servers if i install the network monitor on each network?

which firewall are you monitoring? I believe if you enable snmp discovery in your firewall then Spiceworks should be able to detect your firewall in inventory.

If you want to use Spiceworks Network Monitor to monitor multiple network and different locations you must have VPN between all the locations for it to work. The easiest way to do this is having a dedicated Spiceworks Network Monitor server on each location to monitor (which is your best option).

Spiceworks Network Monitor does not integrate with Spiceworks Inventory.
