Hi all,
I have a probelm with scanning computers.
It seems like working, but doesn’t updates the datas of the computers.
I look at a computer’s Complete profile: the last scan time and last updated time are OK (2015-10-28 @04:03 pm) but ie. the user’s last logon time is 2015 jul 06. (It is not true)
Then I press tools-rescan and after this the last scan time is 2015-10-28 @04:41 pm and the user’s last logon time is 2015 oct 28. (see fig1.pdf).
In this case I don’t get alerts ie. about little free spaces on drives etc.
Must I change something in my configuration?
Thanks

Hey Laszlo,
Sorry to hear about the Inventory issues! I’m going to reach out to you in a few minutes to get a copy of your application logs. Keep an eye out for an email from us!
After rebooting the system twice (first via server manager->services->spiceworks->restart; didn’t help, second on the taskbar->spiceworks desktop->restart
and now it seems working well.
Thanks

The situation is not so good as I thought.
Last week after two reboot a lot of computer’s details updated well but this week i have some machines - ie. my laptop which was not in the network last week - not updated well (just like it was earlier).
So I’m waiting for that new version…
Cheers
Laszlo

Hey Laszlo,
We release a new version yesterday evening that should address some, if not all, of these issues. Could you download that and run some scans and let me know if things look better?

Hi Peter,
I’ve downloaded and tried it. Nothing changed…: still have halfway scanned machines.

Laszlo,
Dang, I’m sorry to hear that the new version didn’t help! I’m going to send you another email now to get another set of logs from you.
Hi Peter,
I’ve found something: we use McAfee virusscan software, and in the Access Protection log I’ve found the next:
Would be blocked by Access Protection rule (rule is currently not enforced) FOMTERV\Administrator C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WSCRIPT.EXE C:\Users\ADMINISTRATOR\AppData\Local\Temp\SPICEWORKS\SPICEWORKS_UPLOAD.VBS Anti-spyware Maximum Protection:Prevent execution of scripts from the Temp folder Action blocked : Read

I think that is the reason that the correct details are not uploaded to the server.
Why do you run these scripts from the temp folder?
Thzanks
