On almost any page right now, I see

Currently running network scan—click to learn more ◘◘◘◘◘◘

But when I click? Nothing. No scan running.

Login Failures shows 6. But when I click to see which ones, there are only 4 SSH devices and 1 Windows Device.

As for Windows Firewall or Permission Issues, my own workstation is listed, but when I go to “spiceworks/fix”, it isn’t listed.

In Devices, if I click on a device with permission or firewall issues, and click the Resolve → Fix Issue, it lists my entire network as uncategorizable (despite most of it actually having been categorized.)

This just started with the most recent v7 update. I have 7.0.01308. Is this something other people are experiencing? I don’t know how much I can rely on the information Spiceworks is giving me right now. It has always been consistent and reliable in the past.

I should note that I already attempted one solution suggested, which was turning my scan speed down to slow. Unfortunately, that did nothing to resolve any of my issues.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’m just kind of ignoring Spiceworks for now until it’s fixed. I’ve had nothing but issues since v7. I know it would be more helpful of I worked on trying to fix some of the issues by troubleshooting and sending logs but I’m in the middle of a big project and don’t have time.

I love Spiceworks. For as simple and straightforward as it is, it has proven an enormous boon. And for the reasonable price of “Free.” I can’t really complain about that. But I wasn’t sure if this was something I had done to myself, or maybe just issues with the latest release. Which I can’t say I’m thrilled with, but I understand. I work at a software company myself. I get it.

I love it as well, just frustrated with the changes in v7, especially so because of how much I have on my plate at the moment. That’s why i’m just waiting for now, I know whatever issues there are will eventually get ironed out. I just wanted to let you it’s not just you.

Grimby, I appreciate your honesty that you’d like to help us out to diagnose and fix these issues, but cannot right now because of your other project.
