Hey, @Sean-Spiceworks. I already got my ticket and reserved the hotel, but I didn’t see an option to buy a guest pass. Is that still in the works, or did I just miss it when I registered last week?

Hi @ode2joy :wave:, I haven’t gotten an official answer back yet (as to why it is not turned on now). We will be allowing guest passes and they can be added after you’re fully registered.

I’ll follow-up when I have some concrete info, but it might be because we’re hoping to do a bit more with after-event activities this year… maybe :wink:

@Sean-Spiceworks – sorry to be so plebian, but what is the early bird rate? It wasn’t in the video, and not on the website. ( I went up to the second registration screen and gave up.) Even if the employer is springing for it, they usually want to know how much before they allow someone to register. And some have to attend out of pocket, so budget is a factor. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you take into account the front door positioning of both hotels its a 4 block hike both ways. There are some AirBnBs in the Nueces/San Antonio area (Behind the Raising Canes) that may be a bit closer and similarly priced with more amenities. Some of the Spicebuddies where staying in that area last year.

In order to properly book the rooms, it would be important to have some idea of what’s going on each day. Is the morning of the 11th going to be just the paid training? How late on the 13th are activities scheduled?

No one has that information yet… we haven’t planned it out.

In general though, from past events, there will be a paid workshop the first morning, but the birds of a feather lounge will also be open, so people can hang out together.

Spicebuddies usually do activities the evening before as well, if you are interested in those.

Last day there is usually an after party that goes late, so if you plan to attend that, you might want to plan to leave the day after.

Spiceworld officially starts on Tuesday mid day with a extra paid PowerShell workshop in the morning. As Suzanne mentioned there will be events scheduled by Spicebuddies (which I’m working on with vendors) on Tuesday morning and Monday possibly all day. I would suggest if time permitting arrive early Monday.

Some of the Spicebuddies are arriving Sunday.

Answers to most of these are above so I’ll just consolidate it here:

  • Early Bird pricing is $199 until Dec 31, 2024. We have not released yet officially what the price increments will be after that.
  • Guest Passes will be available, they just aren’t yet as we work out some details (might be more fun than you’re expecting!)
  • For hotels, the link in registration should work but you can also reach out to the hotel directly.
  • We have not released the schedule yet, only that it is three (3) days. We may try to change things up a bit based on feedback and experience, so just because we did it a certain way previously, doesn’t mean we’ll do it exactly the same in 2025.
  • We used to do SpiceWorld London and All Access in various parts of the EU, but I do not believe we have an plans for 2025 right now.
