Yesterday my screen randomly blipped from being in landscape mode with my type cover attached to portrait and my keyboard stopped working.<\/p>\n
I rebooted and could not resolve the problem without manually locking to landscape and with still no keyboard connectivity.<\/p>\n
This morning this seemed to resolve itself and was working but dropped off again this afternoon<\/p>\n
The screen now blips between portrait and landscape as it wishes. Type cover drops off and comes back as it wishes.<\/p>\n
Uninstalled the surface cover telemetry and reinstalled via windows updates. Same problem.<\/p>\n
It’s like the orientation has completely died<\/p>\n
The type cover shows in connected devices even when not working…<\/p>\n
No updates were installed around the period of it dropping out.<\/p>\n

Are you running 8.1 Pro or 10 Pro?<\/p>\n
Have you tried the two button shutdown to see if that changes anything?<\/p>\n
