Hello Top Notch and Mad Skills Gurus’,

I’ve got my company on Office 365. I’ve made zero changes to my companies “Teams” environment. A few weeks ago I used to have the ability to chat with my old co-workers from the MSP that I used to work at. Here’s the kicker, we have a group chat and there’s no issues with the group chat in Microsoft Teams. If I message anyone from the group chat individually I can’t do it. If they send a message individually I can see the message but I can’t respond to it. Here’s the kicker, the app on my iphone 11, I have the ability to respond to individual chats w/out any issues. It’s just the desktop app on my laptop.

I’m a Global Admin on O365, I’ve got teams admin portal set to “Allow all external domains” I’ve also go the following set:

Here’s what I see in Teams on my work laptop, when I try to send a message to one of my old co-workers:

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Cheers and thanks in advance!

It could be a confliction apparently with some ‘msRTCSIP-’ attributes, or just it needs you to sign out to clear any cached information/update the app and then sign back in.

If the issue exists for everyone in you org then perhaps there’s a policy in place to prevent private-chatting via work hardware as a security measure against employees who moonlight as ‘pirates-of-anyone’s-data-but-their-own’.
