Hello everyone,

I’m having issues logging on to the community from within my spiceworks dash,

i’ve cleared the cache/cookies and restarted the browser, and I have a uuid in my advanced options.

i have followed all the instructions from http://community.spiceworks.com/help/Registration_And_Installation without any luck.

i have also entered my proxy settings but authentication keep failing.

this was not an issue on my test network, but i have since joined the spiceworks machine to the domain, and now i have to sign into the community seperate from the dash. all other features of spiceworks work well though, we use TMG client, will i have to grant the spiceworks machine username status in order for the proxy to work with spiceworks?

Hello Dexter,

I have seen this happen before, but it was in a pretty specific circumstance. Some security devices can flag the hand off from the application to the community as an Intrusion attempt. From what little I know about TMG and Forefront, you may want to allow both the Spiceworks server and the Community URL in the system.

Try that and let me know how it works.

Sorry that didn’t work. I guess the biggest question is what is the difference between your test network and you domain?

actually i’m waiting on the Network admin to allow the url’s and ip addresses through the TMG, dunno why he’s taking this long.

I’m also unable to telnet the community and frontend on ports 80 and 443

Ok so i can telnet the community now but my community password wont work when i try to sign into spiceworks, i’m being directed to the sign up page

Thanks, for the help guys, this problem has been resolved, was able to get our net admin to create a rule in the TMG to allow Spiceworks.
