I have a HP laptop with win 10 that suddenly stopped recognizing any usb mouse and keyboard but other usb devices work fine.
I’ve tried all of the device manager fixes updated bios as well as reinstalled all software still not working. I have tried Solutions for multiple threads but no luck
The laptop says it successfully installed device but then says driver is unavailable any help

What was the last change done right before the issue started?
Have you tried multiple mice or keyboards?

If you recently did the creators update, this is a known issue when doing the upgrade. You would need to manually install the driver to get it to work again.

I’ve tried multiple mice and keyboards, and also did a system restore, no go.
The mice and keyboard light up for a minute than nothing.
@dbeato - i will have to take a look to see if that update is installed on the laptop, and if so uninstall it to see if that works. hopefully it does, because i dont want to re-install windows again for them, if need be.

If you are having trouble controlling the laptop, people have stated that TeamViewer/RDP still provides KVM control.
