Just got back from a cruise this Saturday and today is my first day back at work. I’m still catching up on emails since the best thing about being on a ship is the internet is so god awful that you lose any desire to check anything on the internet. Either way it’s good to be back, just trying to get back in work-mode
I carried my GoPro throughout the entire trip, and wanted to share a quick 3 min video with you guys in case any of you were ever on the fence about taking a cruise. I love them! Enjoy the video: YouTube Link

Really good. Kept thinking it was going to hit a branch while on the motorcycle.
Just got back from my honeymoon to London… definitely don’t have go pro footage of that <.<

Ahhhhh…aren’t Ebola and food poisoning pretty much the norm on cruise ships?

I came back Ebola and Food Poisoning free! I even ate some pretty interesting menu selections: rabbit, frog legs, ox tongue. This was my 4th cruise and I’ve never had any issues, but of course whenever there is an issue it makes the news and puts out some bad PR for the cruise lines.

Great video, that trip looks like it was so much fun!! I have only ever been on one cruise before (it was with my grandma when she was not very mobile but still liked to travel and cruises were wonderful for her because she could get around the ship great on her walker and then do some of the easier shore excursions) and it was before I was old enough to drink, but I had a great time. I should try to talk my fiance into a short cruise because they do seem like they’re great for forcing you to unplug. Thanks, you’ve inspired me!

I spent the last min clicking the play icon on the title picture, applying palm to forehead now.

I always wanted to go on a cruise. I might be able to swing it once my child is like 4 or 5.

Gotcha! I tried to make the picture a link but the WYSIWYG editor wasn’t allowing it. Sorry!

Cruising is fantastic! I did an 8 day from Seattle to Alaska back in July and loved every minute (was my second one and definitely not my last).
Great work on the video!

You went on a cruise ship despite everything that is going on? like ships breaking down and going into a bag to ebola? You sure do like to live on the edge.

I figure the odds are with me that my vacation would be just fine. We did dock right next to the Carnival Magic (“Ebola Ship”) in Honduras on Wednesday; you’ll see us backing up right next to her in the video about halfway through. But, I came back ebola-free, we didn’t get stranded in the middle of the gulf, and I didn’t contract the norovirus. So all-in-all I’d say we came out on top!

I enjoy cruising, and partake in the traditional deck games such as quoits and shuffleboard.
On one cruise, I even joined the foil fencing class.
