I am currently using team viewer.

It really depends on what you are looking to do.

Recently I have been using Team Viewer, www.teamviewer.com . It’s simple easy to use, nothing to install except for the admin client on your machine.

Logmein is an all time favorite, but not as quick as teamviewer.

Depends on your needs. LogMeIn is quite popular because it is partially hosted which is nice.

We like to use a locally hosted NX accelerator for our remote access because we have much more powerful control, we don’t send anything externally unless necessary and we do heavy compression before anything leaves our network for maximum efficiency. It also does not require installing anything special onto the machine to which you will connect allowing them to just use RDP or VNC natively which greatly lowers the management overhead as well.

I like/use LogMeIn Reach.

I use a combination of things. Log me In, Dameware, and just plain old RDP. I have found that sometimes one is better than the other.

We put RDP and VNC on all of our Windows machines so that we have the choice and then access both via NX. They work differently so we appreciate the flexibility and sometimes one will fail and the other will not.

Love using logmein rescue, you also have www.showmypc.com which is free but slower, for immediate IT support with no pre installed software on the slave.

If I have to install then it would be either logmein IT reach or even the free version.

I also have VPN to use RDP on the windows server, just in case. I prefer not to open port 3389 to the world

TS Client/RDP and VNC for us…

I use Citrix Go To Assist. Works great, no initial install.

LogMeIn IT Reach works well for us.

I agree, too, that TeamViewer is a solid remote assistance tool. It sure beats trying to use WebEx, which one of our middle managers swears by.
