Devil Duck picked up an overtemperature alert from our Environmental Monitoring Probe Gen 2. Without his quick thinking, our entire 5PX G2 may have been doomed to be consumed by a liquid inferno. While exploring the starfleets, we discovered this UPS will boldly work in the North American galaxy and beyond!
Over the past few months I have needed to go back and forth with one of our supply vendors because of exactly what this fixes. I told the vendor I needed a UPS and gave a model number. What I got was a ups that has an input of 230v and an output of 120v. Annoying, but it was my fault because I did not realize that the model I gave was not specific to what I needed. So I returned the UPS and told them that I needed an input of 120v, not 230v. Well a couple months go by and a new UPS comes in, excited to finally be able to close out this ticket I open it up plug it in everything is looking good… until I plug in a printer to it and the thing starts smoking. I look at the manual, it has an input of 120v but an output of 230v and fried my printer.
