You’ve had one SysAdmin Appreciation Day contest and now you can have a second!

Our Eaton 9PX UPS has been incredibly successful for many years and is trusted by IT pros across the globe. Naturally, we’re always looking to improve all of our products and the 9PX is no exception. We’re excited to announce that we’ve launched the next generation—Eaton the 9PX G2 with models from 3 to 11 kVA!

To enter this contest, simply vote on your favorite 9PX G2 upgrade. Choose up to 3.

  • ABM+ technology improves predictive battery replacement analytics to better pinpoint when you should replace UPS batteries.
  • Rack space savings. 8 to 11 kVA models are now 4U instead of 6U while providing (4) L6-30R outlets, giving you more power in less space.
  • You can add more batteries! Instead of being limited to 4 battery packs, you can now add up to 12. Why just go to 11?
  • New: Wide-bandgap (WBG) technology helps to reduce the size of the overall electronic part to maximize usable output power per UPS and allow you to support more devices.
  • LED status bar provides quick and clear visual diagnostics in all environments.
  • C39 outlets combine C13 and C19 functionality to increase flexibility and save space. (9PX6KIECG2 and MBP6KIECG2 only) C39 > sporks!
  • Cybersecure network card included with all 9PX G2 models. Previously, only 9PX models over 3 kVA were bundled with a network card.
  • The 9PX G2 is 4% more efficient in online mode over legacy 9PX, as well as DOE and EnergyStar 2.0 compliant

10th voter, but the first to vote for the C39 outlets. That’s pretty cool actually! The “Second Breakfast” caught my eye, as it’s just after 11am here, and I was sitting here eating a very late breakfast (sausage gravy biscuits with BaCoN on the side) while I take a break from office cleaning day.

This is great. One of the biggest ‘problems’ with UPS systems is battery replacement. Or more specifically, when to replace the battery.
Have had SO MANY systems where the “replace battery” light or indicator never came on but the battery just up and failed.

Neither the product nor the prize ship with bacon, so why bother?

I actually had a power outage that revealed the batteries in a UPS (not Eaton brand) were bad. ABM+ would have shown the problem before the outage. The truly sad part was the outage occurred two weeks after the warranty expired. Batteries were probably bad before the warrant expired and we had no clue.
