Why cant we import "owner" when importing devices

Why can we not import “owner” when importing devices? This make reporting and asset tracking pointless if we cant import a owner? Has anyone found a work around for importing Owner so that when you run a report you look at that user you see who actually has it?

Also can you do an “update” to all your devices in inventory? For example I import a whole list of 500 devices and then I want to do a mass import to all of them and “update” some of the fields. Is that possible?

I just emailed you so I can get a copy of the .csv and help troubleshoot the import issue.

We solved this by changing “owner” to “primary_owner_name” in the .csv file.
